The next couple weeks consisted of grinding and building my confidence back up. A few hot miserably humid practice sessions using the Tommy Fleetwood yoga block drill. This drill made me realize that my midsummer shanks were not happening because of club path. I’m just opening the club face and leaving it wide open at contact.
This round was at Highland Creek. Mr. Wuf and I are paired with 2 random singles. And we knew this was going to be an interesting round on the first hole. The one guy is oblivious to his surroundings and the other can’t see past 10 feet. Some of the worst characteristics you can have to be a golfer. Mr. Oblivious hits his ball in the creek short of the green on the first hole. He’s standing between us and the hole getting his ball and finding a way to put his towel into the water to get it wet. He was standing in the wrong place for most of the round.
As for the round, it was starting to look like the last couple weeks. There were some good shots in there. But quite a few just uncharacteristic short game mistakes. 40-43 for and 83. Mr. Wuf did not fair as well. Technically it was a win for me, but it was a struggle for us both.
