After missing the last couple weeks of golf due to work commitments, I brought up the subject with Mr. Wuf Monday morning. Where we playing this weekend? He quickly replied with his favorite course Olde Beau. We’ve played here once, and this was the site of his largest victory over me.
This course is a fantastic retreat away to Roaring Gap in the mountains of North Carolina. It provides plenty of up and down hill shots, scenic views, and a fun place to spend an afternoon secluded away with people that you like. The front 9 is tight fairways that requires precision off the tee. The back 9 is what steals the show. Every hole besides the 11th has some form of breath taking elevation change.

As for the match, Mr. Wuf was all howl and no bite this week. He fell behind on the first hole and never gained any steam. He was able to birdie the hardest hole on the golf course. On the 5th hole, he rolled in a putt from the fringe that was easily over 30 feet. The other real highlight was my 3rd shot on the par 5 12th hole. From 55 yards out, the ball is on direct line with the flag. It appeared as if the ball descended straight down into the cup and bounced out. The match was a blowout 13 stroke victory. Next week, Mr. Wuf will receive 6 strokes in our match. We will see if I live to regret this generosity.
