Today’s birdie is a reminder of why I named the site birdiewarrior. It was 45 degrees and rain coming in around lunch time. If I had any common sense, I would of stayed in my motel room. But I’m dedicated and have driven all the way to Arkansas, so let’s go! On the North Course, I was able to take advantage of the par 5 8th hole. On the scorecard it is listed as 475, but they had the tee box moved up to 450 yards. I guess they wanted to help me. I hit a great drive and had 200 yards out. Hit a low flighted hybrid onto the middle of the green. I had a 15 foot putt for eagle straight up the hill. Mentally in my head, I keep saying get it there. I had the perfect distance, but the ball didn’t break as much as I thought. A 1 foot tap in birdie! Glad to get this one completed as I don’t see Arkansas as a place I plan on traveling to much.
