What a weekend! The weather was perfect for golf. I woke up early in excitement and my playing partner Mr. Wuf had just texted his excitement. I made breakfast and headed his way. We arrive at the course and both hit a small bag of balls. With the rust of the winter, these were going everywhere. We always have an adventure together and today was a great day for that. Golf wise was an adventure. Some good holes and bad holes. And I will even publicly admit that I lost to Mr. Wuf by 1 shot. That was painful to admit.

The day truly was magical for people watching. The group ahead of us had a guy that had the stature of KJ Choi from a distance in this group. For the new to golf or non golfers, KJ was around 5’6ish round belly, and wore a visor with black hair sticking out. We had considerable rain on Friday, so the course was cart path only. On the 1st hole he drove right beside the giant sign that said cart path only and directly into the grass to his ball. I’m guessing reading is not a thing he likes to do. On the 2nd hole, he tops his drive and it rolls about 20 feet in front of him to the left, so he goes to his cart and drives across the tee box to pick up the golf balls. Mind you it was actually a shorter walk for him to get his balls that he topped and walk to the cart. They had another guy in there group that was an older guy that never smiled or waved and complained after every shot. But his trademark move was lingering behind whomever was close to him on the putting green, and running behind that person that was hitting and watching the balls path and gives commentary. From all the holes we were able to see, his ball would never take that path so he wasn’t learning anything to help him. The group behind us was a group of big boys. They were complaining about the lack of quality at the local “titty bars”. The biggest guy complained he had the biggest boobs in the place. And the others commented they would be better off paying him $20 and watch him move those things.

Apparently some people complained about KJ disregarding the rules that the course had established for the day. He partially followed the rules for another 4 holes. They tee off on 14, drive down the fairway and walk out to the middle of it. Turn around and walk back to the cart, and start driving backwards on the path. They drive past us and keep on driving off into the sunset. Side note: I hope he is discouraged and gives up golf for good. Tired of idiots tearing up things and ruining it for everyone else.

This was a wonderful weekend and hope that 2023 brings us many many more.
