The Volunteer State
After playing at Georgia, I decided to take a trip to Nashville to visit a friend. On the way home, I picked Pine Creek to play at because it was not far off the interstate on the way home. It has a fun layout. The downhill par 5 13th hole is where I got my Tennessee birdie. I sliced a drive into the left rough. Barely kept it in bounds. Hit a good hybrid that hit the center of the fairway and rolled like it was heading down a runway. My 3rd shot was around 70 yards out. I could see the green sloped drastically from back to front. The goal was to keep it below the hole so I could be aggressive with my putt. I was able to hit a low trajectory and spinning ball. It left me with an easy 10 footer up the hill. Cue the fist pump!
