The Old Line State

Maryland’s birdie happened in August of 2016 at Cross Creek Golf Course. This was at 170 yard par 3 5th hole. The only thing I remember about this course is the opening hole had a tee shot that had to be hit over a pond. The course is now an overgrown field that probably has many homeowners very upset.

According to one of my playing mates while discussing this idea, I was told that if the course doesn’t exist, the birdie doesn’t count. You know what, screw him I’ll upgrade my birdie. I was lucky enough to get invited to play one of my bucket list courses, Congressional CC. I birdied the Steeple Hole #16. Had a good drive and approach on the par 5. Hit my wedge from 95 yards to 2 feet and left myself a 2 foot putt.
