I began 2023 by playing the Stadium course on New Years Day! This has been in my top 3 of courses to play for 20+ years. I couldn’t try and figure out how many “rounds” I’ve played on video games and watched over the years. I finally decided that this was a lifetime event, which trumps bucket list. The staff knows that this is a life experience and treats it that way as soon as you arrive on the property. They know how much it costs to play there. There is so much to take in here. Show up early and walk around the clubhouse and pro shop. The shop is so big, I’m pretty sure they have an item for every even and occasion.

This practice facility has to be one of the best in the entire world. The range is massive with many different targets. A nice big chipping green and 2 putting greens beside the first tee. And as a bonus, you might run into a few of the golf pros working on their game.

The front nine is very tight and not very forgiving. There are tree branches that you have to account for on many tee shots. What you can’t see on tv or in video games, is that there is quite a bit of undulation throughout the fairways. The back nine opens up quite a bit. Once you tee off on 10, you start counting down to the last 3 holes. A very fun par 5, legendary island green, and beast of a finishing hole.

If you are a serious golfer and haven’t played here, make it happen. Have a yard sale, deliver food, sell unused body parts to make this happen. You will always remember what happened on #17. I hit the green and 2 putted for par.
